Back pain can be a troublesome problem as we get older, but how do we know when it is a harmless annoyance or a sign of something more serious? Although back pain is often due to “wear and tear” or degenerative changes in the aging body, there are times when it can indicate a more serious underlying condition, especially when there are symptoms affecting both the back and legs.
